Noaks Ark Syd is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that works with HIV/STI prevention and support for people living with HIV. Since 1987, Noaks Ark Syd has been an HIV-service organization and works with several projects targeted to prioritized groups. Noaks Ark Syd offers several services for living with HIV or who are otherwise affected by HIV. You are welcome to visit us or contact us during our opening hours.
Want to know more about HIV?
We offer training courses, lectures to the public, students and professionals. Moreover, we have different activities, meetings, and other gatherings for volunteers. For more information, contact us at info.syd[at]noaksark.org.
Want to know your status?
On non-holiday Wednesdays, Noaks Ark Syd offers a drop-in for HIV-rapid test between 17.00 and 19.00. The test, which is done through a finger stick, is free of charge and anonymous. You will get the results within 15 minutes. If it is difficult for you to come to our drop-in, please contact us for the possibility to book another time convenient for you. The testing prioritizes people who are new arrivals in Sweden.

As a member
As a member, you support our organization and, among other privileges, have voting rights on our annual meetings. To become a member, please send us an e-mail to info.syd[at]noaksark.org. Membership fees are paid to the following Bankgiro 5532-2911. The membership fee is 100 SEK per year for one person or 150 SEK per year for a family. Please enter your name, email address and "membership" at the payment section.
As a volunteer
As a volunteer, you gain experience and valuable knowledge about HIV and its consequences for the individual as well as society as a whole. By being part of the volunteer group, you will get to know people with different backgrounds and skills, as well as make a difference for an important cause. It is important for us that volunteering is beneficial for you and for us. To become a volunteer, you will have to be 18 or older, have gone through Noaks Ark Syd’s HIV Training Course and adhere to the volunteer policy.
In addition to Swedish, we have staff members who speak Arabic, Bosnian, English, French, Romanian, Serbian, Spanish, and Swahili as well as the possibilities to arrange for translators in other languages.
